The Evergreen Tallow Soap pairs tallow with our favorite evergreen saps & needles. If you've been following Cedar Hill any length of time, you've likely heard Tori talk about her love of saps and resins. Saps act on our skin, just as they do the tree. They ooze out when a tree is injured to create a protective barrier and help heal the tree. They are antimicrobial and help lock in moisture. Paired with tallow and herb infused oils, they help the fats penetrate the lipid barrier and create a breathable seal, protecting the skin barrier. The perfect soap for sensitive skin, irritated or flaky skin and anyone prone to rashes and bumps.

Evergreen Tallow Soap is a home-rendered tallow soap from Cedar Hill Homestead, made with fir needle and sap, pine sap, juniper leaf and berry, and spruce infused olive oil. It lathers creamy rather than squeaky, and it is naturally colored and scented.

I tried a sample size of your soap and have tremendous results that I have tween in years. My question is I was able to snag a sample size inky. Will this be made at some point soon. I'd like to stick up. I've spent literally $1,000+ Sever times for refills if creams that aren't working. My niece recommended you and I can tell you after years of fighting various skin conditions, my facial skin has never been as good.

Frequently Asked Questions about Our Evergreen Tallow Soap

What is tallow soap?

Tallow is rendered beef fat, and it was the original soap fat before vegetable oils became standard. It is both cleansing and moisturizing, it lathers creamier than most soaps, and because it closely resembles our own sebum it absorbs rather than sitting on the surface.
Is this soap vegan?

No. It is made with home-rendered tallow.
How is Evergreen Tallow Soap scented?

With the plants themselves: fir needle and sap, pine sap, juniper leaf and berry, and spruce, all infused into olive oil, plus a very small amount of essential oil. Our soaps are always naturally colored and scented.
How big is the bar?

Full size bars measure 2.5 by 3 inches. The sample chunk is a quarter of an end piece, so it is small but good for several uses.
Why is there lye in it?

All soap is made with lye. It reacts with the fats during saponification and none of it remains in the finished bar. A soap made without lye is not soap.
How is the soap packaged?
