Seasonal Guide
☀️ Be a plant. Sunlight is one of nature’s simplest and most effective immune boosters. When sunlight hits our skin, it helps the body produce vitamin D, which is vital for immune cell function and inflammation. Even just 10–20 minutes of daily natural light can help regulate our circadian rhythm, boost mood through serotonin production, and keep our immune system resilient through the changing seasons.
🔥 Keep warm and moving.
Circulation is everything once the air turns cold. I opt for Adaptogen Chai or Golden Roots midday and a mug of You Give Me Fever Tea some evenings, even when I’m feeling well. It’s packed with warming herbs and antioxidants that provide gentle support for the respiratory and immune systems. (This tea is great for little ones too!)
🍄 Feed your immunity. Vitamins C and D get scarce this time of year, but they’re so important for staying healthy. I love incorporating things like tinned fish, eggs from my chickens, and mushrooms set gills up on a tray in the sun before cooking. Ooh, and Fire Walker Immunity Tonic for an extra herbal boost!
💤 Rest without guilt. Early darkness is here for a reason! Accept it with pleasure. About 30 minutes before bed, a dropper of the Rest in Peace Tincture (or a cuppa RIP Tea) can help ease you into an earlier bedtime.
