A hands-on workshop at The Fontanel Mansion
Saturday, May 10 | 11AM-1PM
Learn to identify late Spring plants and best practices for working with them! A medicinal plant walk with an herbalist is a truly remarkable experience. Knowing whats beneath your feet, what to nibble on and how to use it is not only a birthright, but a superpower we all have access to. Once you learn to see the multivitamins, fancy dinners, and friends all around, you are sure to never look at your surroundings the same again.
We’ll learn how to safely identify herbs, both native and invasive, and talk through best practices for harvesting and wildcrafting with care and reciprocity.
You’ll hear stories about each plant’s gifts and how they’ve been integrated traditionally, through food, medicine, and ceremony. Touch leaves, smell crushed stems, taste wild flavors, and learn from the plants.
Learn the role invasive plants play in our ecosystem, and how we can shift our mindset from eradication to relationship, and how even“weeds” can be some of our most potent, abundant allies.
