Well if you follow us online, you've likely heard a Tori rant about the importance of using heat, water, and time to pull out the polysaccharides in mushrooms as well as the minerals in herbs and the fiber in herbs. That makes broth THE perfect way to extract the benefits from most mushrooms, roots and herbs. To really receive all those benefits, steep a minimum of 15 minutes, but really let it go for a good 30min - 1hr if you can.
