A hands-on workshop in the Community Garden behind the Apothecary Saturday, April 26th, 2025 at 1-2:30PM
Join Brittni from Deepwood Farms and learn basic wet felting techniques at Cedar Hill Apothecary, in Springfield, Tennessee. In this class, you will learn how to felt some locally harvested wool around a moisturizing bar of soap. This will produce a bar of soap that will last twice as long as a traditional bar of soap that melts in your shower. The wool around the bar acts as a self-soaping luffa, which over time will shrink with the soap. The soft alpaca wool around the bar will also gently exfoliate the skin through its use.
