Making an Oxymel

In this video, I am making a Spring Oxymel with fresh Eastern White Pine, fresh wild foraged Maine Rose Hips, fresh Juniper& Tangerine. I go over how you can craft your own oxymel at home using whichever ingredients are most accessible to you!

The ingredients I chose were inspired by
1. Our Pine tree being struck by lightning, leaving us tons of pine
2. A friends sending me the most juice, plump Rose Hips I have ever seen &
3. The Juniper Berries are so citrusy right now they were begging to get in on this Vitamin C fest!

I remember when I first got into herbalism, I always wondered how the people I learned from or followed just magically had all of these amazing plants. Here's how! Do not seek out plants that don't grow in your area! Think about one ingredient that is accessible to you right now. This could be a "weed", a fruit, an herb from the farmers market, anything. Now draw your inspiration from that and think of what could compliment it, either in flavor, medicinal properties, or both.
