Foraging for Spicebush!

In this video, we're foraging for my favorite wild spice, Spicebush! You likely have this "bush" lurking in your woods, or nearby. Once weve harvested our years worth, I'll show how we dehydrate and use this spice.

I like harvesting some green and some red because the flavor profiles are slightly different. The green ones are closer to a cardamom/allspice whereas the red taste more like a black pepper/ allspice.

I enjoy the leaves and twigs in tea (it's featured in our Smokey Taboo) and the berries ground onto red meat, specifically wild game like deer!
