Heavy Metal Detox?

Nov 03, 2022

I have to admit, as crunchy as people think i am, I am always skeptical of forced detox. Our body does a pretty darn good job when we let it. But I learned a few facts about the food we ingest that changed my mind a bit thanks to a great podcast episode with the mineral shaman on mythic medicine stories.

Homestead Tour & Rambles Pt. 1

Nov 01, 2021

Alright folks, I took 2, 20 minute long videos and I'm having a hard time loading the second. Hopefully I'll figure it out by the end of the week. These videos were inspired while talking to a friend about how much more difficult it is these days to film for the blog and why. Well my reasoning being that we spent 5 years stewarding a piece of land twice as large as this one, introducing native plant species and using the more invasive ones to make way.

Heavy Metal "Detox"

Oct 20, 2021

Alright folks, one of our QA questions was about detoxing from heavy metals. I wanted to answer with a quick video about my favorite ways to support detox. A lot of folks say its impossible to "detox" because the body naturally has these systems but that's horseshit in my opinion. It's very easy and quite effective to encourage and increase natural processes in the body AND a lot of people lose the ability to detox excess pollutants, environmental toxins, and heavy metals.

The Harvest Cycle

Jul 15, 2020

I had a friend and artist, Arcana of Wales draw this visual up for you all. This is a great reference for learning how to intuitively know when and what part of a plant to harvest. Nettle is an impeccable example of a plant that can be utilized during every season, from each part. Feel free to ask questions!
